DOEACC `A'- Level
Program (Full Time)
The DOEACC `A' level full time course
is of one-year duration (5 to 6 hrs. per day) for the students who
have already graduated or have `O' level qualification.
The course comprises of 1200 contact hours.
DOEACC `A'- level Program (Part Time)
The DOEACC `A' level part time course
is an advance diploma level course. It is specially designed for
part time students who are undergoing graduation. Students who have
completed 10+2 exams can pursue this course along with their graduation
with a special `built-in' examination leave plan. Every year, the
student gets examination leave for about one-two months for their
graduation exams. It requires the students to complete ten papers
and a project (please refer syllabus `A' level). The student has
to put in minimum two hours a day at JLJ and can complete the course
in three years time ie; by the time he graduates. So, this is a
route to dual qualification.
OPTION FAST TRACK:
A student can also complete this course
in two years time under fast track scheme.
DOEACC `A'- Level Program (Upgradation Option)
The student can continue with DOEACC `B' level
after completing `A' level if he so desires. He gets exemption for
first two semesters and can complete the `B' level in two years
full time study.

Scholarships
JLJ offers scholarships to students on the basis
of 10+2 marks and subsequent meritorious performance in order to
encourage them to strive for excellent results.
Awards of Merit
JLJ gives awards to students for figuring in
`All India Topper List' and achieving `S' grades in all India DOEACC
examinations.

DOEACC `A' qualifiers eligible for IT
jobs in Japan
Some good news for the Indian IT work force!
DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses)
Society, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information technology
and CAIT (The Central Academy of Information Technology) of Japan
information Processing Development Corporation (JIPDEC), have signed
an MoU under which the DOEACC. `A' level qualifiers will now be
considered at par with CAIT's `FE-SS' (Fundamental Information Technology
Skill Standards).
This means that the `A' Level qualifiers will be eligible for working
visas in Japan and will not be required to produce evidence of work
experience to obtain visas for entry to Japan, as required otherwise.
The MoU to this effect was signed by Takao Tominaga, CAIT, Japan,
and P.N. Gupta, DOEACC, in the presence of senior officials from
the Japanese embassy in India and Ministry of Information technology
in New Delhi.
In January and July each year on all India basis.
Students will take the examinations as per DOEACC norms.
Practical Examination
Practical assignments have to be taken up for
each paper throughout the course. Two practical exams have to be
taken up.
PR-1 : for first four papers
PR -2 : for balance 6 papers
Award of DOEACC Qualifications
The students will be eligible for the award
of `A' level qualification as per DOEACC norms.
Award of JLJ Certification
The student will also be awarded suitable internal
certification by JLJ based on internal evaluation, upon course completion.
Admissions
Candidates will be selected for the course on
the basis of their academic performance/ written aptitude test/
interview. Selected candidates will be admitted on a first-come
basis.
`A' Level Project
`This project carries a total of 100 marks (80%
for the project evaluation and 20% for viva - voce). JLJ provides
all the necessary help, including the nomination of the supervisor/guide.
Project can be taken up after clearing atleast 5 papers. |
